Making Easy Bookmarks for Traveler's Notebook!

Hello Butterflies,

Today I want to go over how you can make bookmarks for your Traveler's Notebooks, Bullet Journals or any other Books you need to mark a page. These bookmarks are pretty easy to make and only takes about 20 mins to make.

The reason I make these bookmarks instead of the ribbon on a paper clip, I personally don't like the look of the paperclip bookmark. Don't get me wrong I do like the look on other TN. just not this one.

Let's get the supplies you will need for this project.

Supplies Need :

  • Lamination Machine (Optional)
  • Laminating Pouches (Optional)
  • Scissors
  • X- Acto Knife
  • Pencil
  • Glue
  • Ruler
  • Cutting Mat or Board
  • Cardstock or Back of Spiral Notebook
  • Paper with Design You Like

Now that you have all your supplies together it's time to decide what shape you want your bookmark.

For the bookmark, I used the back page of an old spiral notebook. Lay out your cardstock draw the shape of your bookmark and cut it out. You will also need to draw and cut out the same shape on the design paper you have chosen to cover your bookmark.  Glue them together, you will also need to draw out the lines in a large U shape on the bookmark.  You will need to pick the top and bottom of the bookmark before drawing out the U. You will need the bottom of the U to be at the bottom of the bookmark.

This is Optional if you would like your bookmarks laminated or not. If you want to laminate do it before you cut the U shape out of the bookmark.

If you don't want to laminate the bookmark, then go ahead and cut the U shape out in the bookmark, this is up to you on how high you want the cut up to the top of your bookmark. The higher the line the closer the bookmark will set on the page you are marking.

So when you are done cutting the U out now you have a bookmark!

You can customize your bookmarks to fix your style in many was you can add labels, sticker or just leave them blank. It's your make them look how you want!

Here are what my bookmarks look like.

The plan looking bookmark is the one I use to mark my daily spreads in my TN. It's easy to see among the other bookmarks.

I hope you have enjoyed and walk away with some inspiration on how to make your own style of bookmarks.

As Always Have A Good Day Butterflies, See You Soon.
