How I Bullet Journal in a Binder.

Today I am going to talk about bullet journal in a 3ring binder. When I started looking into bullet journal I did not have any blank notes book laying around with two kids going to school. So, I decided to print out dot grid paper and place it in my mini 3ring binder to try out the bullet journaling. I still care the basic idea of bullet journaling in my binder but add in some dividers into the mix.

I have four section in my binder…

1 Calendar

2 Collection

3 Tracker

4 Daily

Calendar Section:

In my calendar section, I had the year of calendars printed out so I continue to use these printables for my future planning. I also have holidays and birthday marked on them. This section is pretty simple and direct. In this month, I am started to add color coding into them for the different members of my family. I also note any work appointment’s or deadlines for work.

Collection Section:

In this section, I have many different items. Here are the collections I have in this section:

1 T.V. Show watch and Time they come on.

2 Movies I want to See and Movies the Family want to see

3 Books I want to read

4 Monthly Cleaning list

5 Each Person in My Family Their Sizes

6 Each Person in My Family Wishes List

7 Password Log for Work

8 Password Log for each child

9 Password Log for my Personal use

This section keeps a lot of information for me and my family. I do want to say that this binder does not leave my house. I keep at home so that anyone in the family can use it.

Tracker Section:

This section I track many things in it. Each Sunday in my house whole we have family meetings and we talk about the different trackers for the family. With using the tracker’s, we can see what we are doing with no problems and what we need to do more consistently. I find with bullet journaling I have become a more positive person about life and I would like to help my family do the same.  I know this sounds like I am micromanaging my family, but I am not. With our family meeting, we ask what each of want to improve on and add to the tracker. So, my children choose what they want to add and take away from the tracker, the only rule we have is they must try anything they add for at least 2 weeks before removing it from the tracker.

Here are what kinds of takers in this section:

1 Habit Tracker

2 Mood Tracker

3 Minstrel Tracker

4 Gratitude Tacker for Myself

5 Bill Tracker

6 Weigh in Tracker Log Myself

7 Walking Log

Daily Section:

In this section I track weather for each day, water intake for the day along with me to do’s list. I will write in any future dates of appointments or due dates, I will also color code these for the family member it’s for. Then I will go to my calendar and put a dot of the color and page number of when I wrote it in the daily. If you have heard of a calendex it’s the same concept. Some months I will go back to just writing the events in. I am trying to stick to the calendex style so that my monthly calendar can be easily viewed.
