What Planners Have I Used

What Planners I have Used!

Hello, Butterflies

Today I want to talk about the planners I have used in the last 2 years. I will be discussing the different sizes I have used and what size I have found to be my planner peace.

In the beginning of my planner journey, I start out with a Personal Size Binder Recollection planner from Michaels.  The reason I pick it was as it was a size I could put in my purse and with staring out planning it was an affordable brand of planners.

I use this size for 5 months before I decided that it was too small for what I need it for. The Inserts I used was the Recollection brand for 3 months and found that I did not like the layout of the inserts. So I started making my own inserts for the last 2 months. Not sure If I was thinking I could add more space with my own inserts, but it did not work for me.

The Next planner I went to was a 3 Ring Mini Binder from the Target Dollar Spot.  The size is an A5 size, which I fell in love with. I love the binder style as I could move inserts around and be able to set the planner up how I wanted it.  Used this planner for 6 months adding my own dividers and folders. At the end of the year, my loving husband had stopped by target and bought me a new mini blinder. The new binder was pretty but found that the rings were a little bigger than my last one. This means I add more inserts and more accessories to the point I hated opening it up to plan each day.

So I was looking around on Youtube at the different planners that were the most popular at the time. I have seen the Erin Condren the life planner but found that was out of my price point for planners. There was also Happy planner but at the time I did not want to also buy a new whole punch for the disk.

So more hunting around I come across someone talking about a Bullet Journal.  I also have seen people talking about Bullet Journal in a Traveler's Notebook. I was not sure I was ready to plan in a Bullet Journal as I messed up a lot will I was planning. So I went and found videos on how I could make my own TN out of cloth, this way it was still in my budget.

My first TN that I had made was the stander Traveler's notebook size. I use it for some time, love the style of being able to switch booklet out when they got full. I was not happy with the size of the pages again.
The picture below is my second TN I tried to make a little bigger from the stander size.

For my birthday my kids bought me some Tombow markers and my husband bought me a Leuchtturm 1917 notebook. I again fell in love with the size of the notebook, also love the paper. I used it for 5 months and found that I was missing being able to use my Traveler's Notebook. I love the L1917 but missed dashboards adding folders or just changing the themes.

So it was time for me to jump back into a Traveler's Notebook but it had to be an A5 size. I did not want to pay for a TN cover as there are so many out there that a beautiful. I wanted something that I had made and no one would have the same cover for me.

So I made it and Love it. I think I love it more because I make it! I still do Bullet Journal but I do it in My Traveler's Notebook. The 3 ring Mini Binder I still us but its a desk planner. I have also changed it to the Bullet Journal style of planning too. It's more of a Family and Bill tracking planner.

So in the last 2 years, I used...

  • Personal Size Binder (Printed Inserts)
  • A5 Binder (Printed Inserts)
  • Traveler's Notebook Wide (Printed Inserts)
  • Leuchtturm 1917 (bullet journal)
  • Traveler's Notebook A5 (bullet journal)
