Hello PlanneryButterflys,
Have you ever looked at your notebook, Leuchtturm 1917 or traveler’s notebook and think man I need a pen loop? Will today I going to talk about the different DIY pen loops you can make for any notebook.
There are many hacks for pen loops so today I will be going over a couple that I have tried and uses. I know you are thinking you could probably buy them off the internet, but they can be costly for just a pen loop for a notebook. If you have 5 to 10 mins you can just make it and save yourself money that you can use somewhere else.
DIY Pen Loops:
Bull Clip
Yes, I said bull clip. It’s easy to hook on to any notebook. Add washi tape to the back to the clip to hold bigger pens. You can move it from one notebook to another. You can add a piece of cloth or leather to the clip so that you can push the clip all the way in and have the loop hang out.
Elastic
With the elastic, it’s not as easy to move it from one notebook to another, but you can add to the bull clip and have it where you can move it from book to book. This will need to be glued on the back of the notebook.
Purse Strap
What did you say? Yes, I said a purse strap, you will find with using a piece of cloth that it won’t grip your pen. You will find that a purse strap was made to grip on to your shoulder, so why not use it to make a pen look for a notebook. Now you can make it where it can be moved from one notebook to another or make it a permanent in the notebook you're using. You can glue it to the back cover or you can tape it in with boxes take so you can move it to the new notebook. I know you don’t want to cut up your purse strap for a pen loop, but you can find a cheap purse at a thrift store to us. Using a purse strap you can have many pen loops.
Well here are the items I use to make a pen loop for my notebooks. I mostly use the purse strap in my notebooks, because I find that it holds my pens will with the grip it has. I have tried them all, in a pinch I will use the bull clip.
So, I hope I have given you some ideas on how to make a pen loop and save yourself some money.
