August Setup

It's August Bullet Journal Setup!

Hello Butterflies,

It's that time again, time to set up a new month in my Bullet Journal. This month I decided to go with a theme for the month. If you read Tuesday Post you would have gotten a sneak peek of August set up a theme. Yes, it's a rose theme!

I have removed some of my layouts for the month of August. The reason I decided to remove them is that my children will be going back to school and I know that the month is going to be busy. The layouts I have to keep in for this month is the calendar, monthly goals, weekly review, family tracker, and my weekly's. I have removed my one-line a day spread, changed goals spread from 2 pages to just one page, change my tracker to only track sleep and steps, and just change the look of my weekly's.

With all the changes in this month, I have also added the images of the rose through out this month to keep the theme going on. I am new to having a theme each month because I feel like I can't draw well. If you like to know how I over come to this problem, please check out I Can't Draw, But Want My Layout to Look Like I Can!

Will onto the Pictures of August Spreads:

I hope you enjoyed seeing my monthly layout and it gave you the inspiration to try something new in your Bullet Journal.

As always have a good day Butterflies, see you soon.

I Can't Draw, But Want My Layout to Look Like I Can !

It's That Time! August Bullet Journal Set Up.

Rose is the theme for this month. What if you can't draw roses?

Hello Butterflies,

Today I will share with you how I got this look but can't draw roses. If you have any adult coloring books laying around you can use it for a theme that you want.

You are probably saying to yourself " What ".  Yes, I said Adult Coloring Book!

I have a couple of coloring books laying around and thought to myself why can't I draw like that. So started flipping through and found a page that had images of roses that I liked.  So, I went ahead and drew up my monthly view of August. Think how can I add these flowers to my layout?

Why Not Trace Them!

With using a Leuchturm 1917 Journal I can place the coloring page under it and see the out lining of the picture, as coloring pages have a dark out line to the images.

I place the page under the monthly view and started thinking how I want to lay the rose around my calendar.  I got out my trusty pencil and started tracing the flowers on to the page as I vision them.  Then went through with my Sharpie Pen and went over each line for each flower.

This took me a couple hours to do, but I only worked on it when I had time to. So, I may only set down for 5 to 10 minutes at a time to work on it. This way I was not overwhelmed with the process. I normally don't beautify my Bullet Journal but want to try some thing different.

I hope this may help you with the problem that  I have with I can't draw some images that I want in my Bullet Journal.

As always have a good day Butterflies, see you soon.
