How to Make Clear Folder for Your Traveler's Notebbook

Hello Butterflies,

Have you ever want to change the look of a folder you add to your Traveler's Notebook?

Today I would like to share with you how I made a clear folder to add to my Traveler's Notebook. You are probably asking yourself why would I want a clear folder?

Will there are many things you could do with a clear folder. You could leave it where it's clear so you can see what you have in it. You could take color construction paper, cut up to fit in the pocket so you can have a color fold that may fix your theme of your TN. You can make a small vision board for each pocket facing out, so each time you're flipping through your TN. you see it.

There are so many things you can do! Personalize it to it fit your style.

Let go head and jump into Making A Clear Folder.

Supplies will need :

2 - Transparency Film page 8.5 x 11
Ruler
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Your Choice of Washi Tape

I will be making mine to fix an A5 Traveler's Notebook, You may have to adjust the size to fit you'res.

Take one of the transparency sheet laying it down flat, take the second sheet folding it in half. Take a bone folder or scissors down the fold to make it flat as you can. Cut it on the line you folded into it.

After cutting the second sheet place the two pieces on the first pieces of Transparency paper, so now you need to mark 1" in the center of the two piece, this way you can cut it out. At this point, you will need to also want to cut the angle at the top. I cut my angle 4" from the bottom.

So it should end up looking like the picture.

Now it's time to put it all together, Grab your washi tape.

Take the two pieces of the transparency sheet that you cut and lay it on the first sheet. Make sure you line the out side together, take the washi tape and tape the long sides wrapping it around the first and second sheet. Then do the same to the bottom, with the side tape it will make it easy to tape the bottom.

When you're done you should have some thing to look like this.

I add the washi tape to the top so it was easier to see in the photo.

You're Done!  Now it's time to Personalize it to it fit your style.

As always have a good day Butterflies, see you soon.

How to make a Pocket Dashboard

Hello Butterflies,

Have you ever want a dash board in your Traveler's Notebook that you can change when you want?

Guess what you can! Today I am going to show you how I make my dash boards with pockets to put in my TN.

Things you will need :

2 - Transparency Film page
Ruler
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Double Side Tape or Clear Tape
Your Choice of Washi Tape

This is the easiest pocket dash board I have made in the last couple of years. I am making an A5 size dash board, you may need to cut your sheets to the size you are using.

I lay the films on top of each other and make sure their line up. This where you will have to choose what you want to hold the two pieces together, Double Side Tap or Clear Tap.

If you use the Clear Tap you will need to wrap the tape around the edges on the two sides and the bottom. Leave the top open so you can slide your favorite pictures in.

Now to cover the clear tap you will pick your washi tape and wrap it around the film where you place the tape to cover it up.

Now it's time for you to fold the film sheets in half if you're making an A5 size. After you fold it in half you will need to run a Bone Folder or any thing that will flat your fold. At the top of the fold, you will need to cut a small triangle, so that your elastic will have a grove to set in. You will also need to do the same at the bottom at the fold.

Now it's Time to add what ever pictures you want!

I choose to cut my picture in half so that I did not have a problem with it folding around my inserts.

I hope this inspires you to make your own Dash Board for your Traveler's Notebook!

Also if you have any question please feel free to leave a comment.
